Tea Party is a Asian-style teahouse that offers the taste experience of  fine teas, located in Boulder Colorado. In addition Tea Party has their own brand of specially selected, Asian teas by mail order.

Mission

Tea Party summarizes their mission as “To be the top Asian teahouse in Colorado, and a high volume Asian tea mail order company. Franchising tearooms is our future.”. This requires a combined promotion of the retail tearoom and the mail order branded teas. This is not your mother’s tea. Some of the exotic teas sell for $28.00 per ounce.

Target Market

The center of the market for Tea Party can be personified as a fictional 40-year-old female with one young  child. She is independent and may be a single mother. She completed her undergraduate degree and some graduate work. She does massage work in trade with local craftspeople and gets an occasional freelance advertising consulting work. She enjoys international travel, and in earlier years, trekked in Nepal and enjoyed the undiscovered beaches of Thailand. She wears only natural fabrics in clothes designed for comfort, but enjoys them in bright colors. She considers herself an outdoors person, hikes, and bikes when she can, though Yoga is her favorite exercise. She watches very little TV, reads progressive environmental magazines and natural foods publications.  With the exception of Patagonia mail order, she buys clothing from local boutiques. She is mostly a vegan, volunteers for animal and environmental causes and drives a Subaru, though she is looking at a new hybrid. She drinks wine on occasion, reads extensively and considers herself not religious, but with an interest in Buddhism. She enjoys getting together with friends often and finds tea party a convenient place to meet and have an exotic tea or snack. Her tea tastes vary, she likes to try new and exotic brews. Currently, Mate is her favorite. She usually buys loose tea to take home when she visits.
